The Virat Kohli-Anil Kumble saga ended on a disappointing note with the latter stepping down as the head coach on Tuesday ( June 20). Kumble’s resignation ended the ugly episode that had marred India’s Champions Trophy campaign. Even before the start of the tournament, rumours of a rift between the captain and the coach were viciously doing the rounds. However, Kohli brought the situation under control by rubbishing all those reports before the tournament-opener against Pakistan on June 4.
But despite Kohli claiming all was well between him and Kumble, reports of a rift between the duo kept on doing rounds throughout the tournament and the whole matter finally came to the fore on Tuesday when Kumble revealed the reason behind his sudden decision to step down as the coach.
Stating that Kohli had reservations overs his style as a coach, Kumble said his partnership with the skipper was untenable and so believed that moving on was the best option for him.

Meanwhile, Kohli, who is currently in West Indies, has not spoken anything on the whole episode but the fans are eagerly waiting for his side of the story. The fans, while admitting that they were disappointed with the whole development, urged the India skipper to break his silence on the issue.

In a coach-captain conflict, cricket is the real loser. Fortunately, that wasn't the case with Anil-Virat. Shows maturity from both sides.

So people are trolling Virat Kohli mercilessly without even hearing his side of story and then they call themselves ICT fans. Shame on you.
