KRK Calls Virat Kohli & Co. Fixers, Asks Fans To Watch Women’s Team’s Matches
Sunday (July 2) was a mixed day for India’s cricket fans. While India’s women team proved their title credentials by crushing Pakistan in their third group game of the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup in England, the men’s team were stunned by the West Indies.
Mithali Raj & Co. gave their millions of fans yet another reason to celebrate with a thumping 95-run win over Pakistan despite posting only 169/9 in their 50 overs.
India’s decision to bat first on a used pitch totally backfired, as the batswomen never got going. India’s innings was derailed to a certain extent even before they could reach the 100-run mark when their in-form players Smriti Mandhana (2) and skipper Mithali Raj (8) were dismissed for a single-digit score. However, Punam Raut’s 47 runs knock and Sushma Verma’s 33-run knock helped India to post a respectable total on a tough pitch.
Well, the score turned out to be more than enough, as Indian bowlers led by Ekta Bisht bowled out Pakistan for a paltry 74. Ekta Bisht starred with the ball, picking up five wickets for just 18 runs in her allotted 10 overs.
On the other hand, the ninth-ranked ODI team in the World, West Indies inflicted an 11-run defeat on Virat Kohli & Co. despite posting only 189 in the allotted 50 overs in the fourth ODI. With the pitch being double paced, the Indian batsmen never got the impetus to chase down the total and were eventually all out for 178 in 49.4 overs.
The contrasting result for men’s and women’s teams, meanwhile, has given Bollywood’s controversial critic Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK another opportunity to continue his propaganda against the Men in Blue. KRK was all over the social media for his anti-Team India and anti-Virat Kohli tweets during the Champions Trophy where India lost against Pakistan in the final.
In fact, the Bollywood personality even released a video to prove that the final of the Champions Trophy was fixed. Two consecutive wins in the Caribbeans had kept him quiet for a few days but he is once again back to his old tricks after Team India suffered an unexpected defeat in the fourth ODI.
He first congratulated the women’s team for the impressive win over Pakistan.
“Congratulations to women cricket team to defeat Pakistan cricket women team by huge margin. U are rocking girls! #ICCWomensWorldCup #PakvInd,” he tweeted.
After that, he shifted his focus to the men’s team. Urging the fans to only watch women’s team’s matches, he tweeted:
“I request to Ppl to watch only women cricket matches. No need to watch matches of men fixers. Jo Desh Ki izzat Paison Ko Liye Bechte hain.”
