After being in the news for all the wrong reasons courtesy of his anti- Virat Kohli tweets throughout the recently-concluded ICC Champions Trophy, Bollywood critic Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK has now set his sight on former India batsman Virender Sehwag.
Anil Kumble, on Tuesday ( June 20), stunned one and all with his sudden decision to step down as Team India coach. His one-year contract had come to an end with the conclusion of the Champions Trophy last week but the legendary spinner was given the option to extend his contract for at least one more series as he was asked to accompany the team to the team for the West Indies tour. However, Kumble, after knowing that skipper Virat Kohli had reservations with his style of coaching, stepped down from his post.
BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee, comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, will now have to select the new coach as soon as possible from the five applicants who had applied for the post last month after BCCI had advertised for the same. The five candidates are Tom Moody, Richard Pyubus, Lalchand Rajput, Dodda Ganesh and Virender Sehwag. And although Sehwag is the least-experienced candidate among the five candidates, he is seen as the front-runner to fill the post vacated by Kumble. In fact, Sehwag applied for the post only after being persuaded by some BCCI officials on the sidelines of this year’s IPL where he was the head of cricket operations for Kings XI Punjab.
Meanwhile, KRK feels that Sehwag is desperate to become the coach of the national team and made his feelings clear on Twitter. Calling Sehwag a ‘desperate nautanki, KRK tweeted:“Hey desperate Nautanki @virendersehwag congratulations, you will get chance to go to West Indies with #BCCITeam coz Anil Kumble has resigned.”

In another tweet, the Bollywood personality said that an honest Kumble only resigned because Kohli purposely lost the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan.
“Honest @anilkumble1074 didn’t like @imVkohli who got defeated(Jaan Boojhkar) in #ChampionsTrophyFinal, has resigned from the post of coach.”
