Self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan has now directed his gun towards Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Rajput is best famous among cricket fans for portraying the role of MS Dhoni in the cricketer’s biopic which released last year.
KRK feels that MS Dhoni: The Untold Story did well only because of MS Dhoni and the actor had no contribution to the success of the biopic. He made this remarks while tweeting about another cricket related movie – Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
#SachinABillionDream has got bigger opening of 40-50% than film #Dhoni withut any hero, heroine n songs. Day1 busines can be 9-10Cr. Superb!

It’s proof that film #Dhoni business was just coz of Dhoni not Sushant. Film Raabta will decide Sushant’s stardom. https://t.co/xvA6rnFJ4O

Since this weekend, KRK has been on a tweeting spree commenting about Sachin: A Billion Dreams and its box office reports.
Fans obviously weren’t amused and made fun of his opinion. On the day of release, his thoughts turned mellow as he sounded bit more professional while reporting the first day business of the movie.
He is a regular commentator on movies related stuff but proved himself insensible by demeaning the biographical documentary even before its release on Thursday. He claimed that the biopic did not interest him at all as it was just a documentary which had some of the unseen videos related to Sachin’s life.
Sachin’s biographical movie opened with a good amount of success. The film recorded a business of 8.4 crores on an opening day and later added 9.20 crores in its kitty on Saturday. Overall, the docu-drama, released across theatres in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and English, attracted a business of 17.60 crores.
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, however, was a greater success. The movie, which released on September 30, earned 21.30 crores in on its release day. On Saturday, it raked in 20.60 crores and earned another 24.10 crores on Sunday of its first week.
Sachin’s movie seems nowhere close to the business that MS Dhoni’s biopic did. The buzz was pretty much the same for both the movies before its release but better promotion and presence of a bit if romantic undertone helped MS Dhoni: The Untold Story gain more interest among moviegoers.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams, in the other hands, was declared to be a documentary which meant it was limited to a set audience who could associate with the game and the cricketer.
