Kumar Sangakkara had an unpleasant experience with the Immigration officer at the Heathrow Airport in London. Kumar Sangakkara confirmed this on twitter. Sangakkara added that it was his first such experience in UK.

Luckily the rest of the UK immigration officers were lovely. Coming to the UK for 15 years and first time I have encountered this.

Sangakkara retired from the One Day Internationals after the World Cup 2015, where he scored 4 back-to-back centuries . Earlier, he retired from the T20s after Sri Lanka’s triumph in the 2014 T20 World Cup against India in the finals. He will be retiring from the Tests after the home series against India
