The young Indian side led by M.S.Dhoni troubled the Englishmen on their home turf and beat them at their own game. Rahane , Vijay , Jadeja , Ishant Sharma , Bhuvneshwar Kumar were the star contributers in the win. On the other hand, Virat Kohli is still struggling to get some form going after a duck off the first ball in the second innings and Pujara failed to convert his start into a big score in the second innings.  Bhuvi continued to show some promise with both bat and ball, having made his third fifty in the last four innings and taking 6 wickets in the match. The tactics of Dhoni surprised many but were successful in the end. On the batting front though he failed to convert his start into big score and is still a concern for the Indian team.

Since 1932 , Indians were always dominated at the Home ground of cricket (The lord’s) except in the year 1986 when Kapil dev led the Indian side to a 5-wicket win. The key players in that test match were Dilip Vengsarkar who made an unbeaten 126, Chetan Sharma with his fiver and the skipper himself took 4 wickets for 52 runs.

After that historic win after a 28-year long wait, let us have have a look at the last 10 matches of Indian cricket team at Lord’s before last night’s win.
