Walsh in reply tweeted about Kumble’s “great” food choice and also didn’t forget to mention about the upcoming Test series between the two countries.
@anilkumble1074 it was great to catch up mate… Hoping for a great test series ahead with some more West Indian and Indian curries.

Kumble is in West Indies with Team India squad that is touring the Caribbean islands for a 4-match Test series under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.
Walsh has been one of the most lethal West Indies’ bowlers of his time with a tally of more than 500 wickets in the longest format while Kumble has been a legendary spin maestro for India who has more than 600 Test scalps to his name.
This series would be Kumble’s first assignment as the chief coach of the team and Virat Kohli’s first tour to the Caribbean as Test captain.
The series comprises four Tests starting with the opening match at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from July 21 to 25, followed by 2nd Test at Kingston from July 30 to Aug 3, 3rd Test at Gros Islet from Aug 9 to 13 and fourth Test at Trinidad on Aug 18 to 22.
In the coming days when the Test squad will feature some uncertain inexperienced youngsters and an over the top skipper like Virat Kohli, Anil Kumble looks to be the balm which will soothe the nerves.
Kumble still enjoys the stature and the position in Indian cricket to persuade a young team to learn the basics from him. He has always been there and done that. To be frank, he had to encounter more failures than successes, so he has the credibility to understand the mindset of an average young Indian cricketer.
