12:48 pm – Colin Munro

The prime batsman in the T20I format, Colin Munro goes at a bargain price of 1.9 crore to Delhi Daredevils. Stuart Binny, the India all-rounder would ply his trade for Rajasthan Royals. He went on a base price of 50 lacs. Marcus Stoinis, a former Kings XI Punjab all-rounder has gone for a decent price of 6.2 crore to Punjab only after they used the RTM for him. Royal Challengers Bangalore had earlier sealed his services.

13:00 pm – Moeen Ali

The England all-rounder, Moeen Ali went to Bangalore for a bargain price of 1.7 crore.

The lunch will be taken now and for 55 mins we would be off too. The sides, on the other hand, had made the best of it. Hope a few surprises awaits.

Welcome back everyone. Hope you all had a good lunch, and are up and ready for the ongoing IPL auction 2018 in Bengaluru. The all-rounders, spinners and fast bowlers are yet come.

14:01 pm – Parthiv Patel

The India wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel has been unsold. Quinton de Kock, South Africa’s batting mainstay is next. A wonder how many franchises would after him. Royal Challengers Bangalore have made the only bid so far. No, Mumbai Indians have entered the fray too. The Bangalore based franchise have gained the services of the wicketkeeper batsman for 2.8 crore.

14:06 pm – Wriddhiman Saha

India’s Test wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha is up next and a few franchises are looking keen get him on the board. After KKR started the bidding, Hyderabad joined the race. Not to forget, Mumbai Indians have thrown their hat in the ring as well. At 5 crores, Saha has joined Sunrisers Hyderabad.

14:10 pm – Jonny Bairstow

The England international, Jonny Bairstow has gone unsold in the IPL auction 2018. Dinesh Karthik, one of India’s oldest wicket-keeper in the format is up for the grabs. Mark my words, he would go for the big price. Kolkata and Chennai are looking really interested to get him on their side. Mumbai Indians have made their way into the race too. Kolkata Knight Riders buy Dinesh Karthik for 7.4 crore.

14:17 pm – Naman Ojha

Naman Ojha has been unsold in the ongoing auction in Bengaluru. That is surprising, nor Parthiv Patel nor Naman Ojha found a buyer. Robin Uthappa, the former KKR batsman is listed to find some business here. Happy to see more than two franchises throwing money to get him. Mumbai Indians, the defending champions bought Robin Uthappa for a more than decent price of 6.4 crore and Kolkata in the end, used the RTM to get back Uthappa in their camp.

14:23 pm – Sanju Samson

Tipped to be the future of India’s wicket-keeping, Sanju Samson would for sure get some buyers. After three sides going after him and seemed ready to splurge money, Rajasthan Royals have bagged his services for a whopping 8 crore. Ambati Rayudu, former Mumbai Indians batsman is next. Chennai Super Kings have bought him for 2.2 crore.

14:34 pm – Sam Billings

Much to my surprise, Sam Billings went unsold. Next and last on the list is Jos Buttler, as England’s wicket-keeper is up for the grabs. Jos Buttler would keep wickets for Rajasthan Royals, as he was bought for 4.4 crore.

14:40 pm – Mustafizur Rahman

The list of bowlers is opened and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman is the first one to get traded. He goes to Mumbai Indians for a mere 2.2 crore. Australia’s Mitchell Johnson is next on the cards, and he goes unsold. Now, that’s a surprise. Not only him, his teammate, Josh Hazlewood went unsold too. That was expected, knowing he’s a better Test batsman. Another Aussie pacer, Pat Cummins is next and Chennai is not looking like they will let him go. At 5.4 crore it is with Mumbai Indians, and DD didn’t use the RTM. Now, Umesh Yadav’s name has come up and the Bangalore based franchise has bought him for 4.2 crore.

14:54 pm – Tim Southee

The New Zealander, Tim Southee has been unsold. India fast bowler, Ishant Sharma has surprisingly been unsold in the auction, even at the base price of 75 lacs. Another India pacer, Mohammed Shami would look out for some buyer, and Bangalore have started the bidding for the sake of it. Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him 3 crore, and Delhi Daredevil retained his services via RTM. Good luck next time, Hyderabad. Mitchell McClenaghan, the New Zealand pacer has been unsold. Kagiso Rabada, the fast South African pacer is next and mind me, Chennai is after him. They are battling it out against Rajasthan Royals, with Delhi keeping an eye on him. Well, CSK bought Kagiso Rabada initially until DD used the RTM and now has retained him for 4.2 crore. Mumbai Indians legend, Lasith Malinga is next and he is unsold.

Well, the idea is clear. There is not a space for the overage cricketers. Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga have been among the unsold players.

Now, the list of spin bowlers is out.

15:13 pm – Piyush Chawla

The India leg-spinner Piyush Chawla had been a stalwart in the league, and I think he won’t go empty hand. I was right, as Kolkata Knight Riders has bought him for 4.2 crore via RTM, as CSK earlier sealed his services at the same price. Imran Tahir, South Africa ‘s leggie is next and Chennai Super Kings has bought him at a base price of 1 crore. Ish Sodhi, the Kiwi leg-spinner has been unsold. The next one the list is Karn Sharma, the India international. CSK appears keen to get his services, and they have bought him for 5 crore.

15:25 pm – Rashid Khan

Afghanistan’s new sensation Rashid Khan is next on the list. His price has crossed 8 crore, and things are only getting heated. I did think the franchises would fight for him and I am feeling good about it  that it’s happening. After Kings XI Punjab bought him for 9 crores, Sunrisers Hyderabad retained him via RTM. Punjab has been really unlucky with RTM today.

15:36 pm – Amit Mishra

One of India’s oldest leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for 4 crore. Samuel Badree, the West Indian went unsold. India’s new spin bowling sensation, Yuzvendra Chahal has now been listed on the charts. Royal Challengers Bangalore has used the RTM for him pricing 6 crore after Delhi Daredevils bought him. Australia’s Adam Zampa is penultimate on the list and went unsold. The hat-trick taker, Kuldeep Yadav s last on the list. RCB sealed his fate at 5.8 crore, but KKR retained him via RTM.

15:52 pm – Suryakumar Yadav

The middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav is finding some buyers and let’s see who he gets to play for. The franchises are going to bag his services, and Mumbai Indians have got him for 3.2 crore. Shubman Gill, the youngster is next and Punjab looks keen to get him on board but Kolkata Knight Riders have edged Punjab to get him for 1.8 crore. Ishank Jaggi is next and he goes to KKR for 20 lacs as well. Youngster Ricky Bhui is next and went to his former club Hyderabad for 20 lacs.

16:06 pm – Mayank Agarwal

One of the rising stars, Mayank Agarwal goes to Kings XI Punjab for 1 crore. Himanshu Rana, 19-year old is next and goes unsold. Last year’s hero, Rahul Triphati is next, and Rajasthan Royals bought him for 3.4 crore. Manan Vohra is next on the list and the opener will have a few franchises fighting for him. Bangalore bought him for 1.1 crore.

16:18 pm – Siddesh Lad

The batsman goes unsold. India’s U-19 captain Prithvi Shaw is next on the list, and he would be plying the trade for Delhi Daredevils for 1.2 crore.

The tea break has been taken. In fifteen minutes time, we would be back.

We are back.

16:44 pm – Rahul Tewatia

The leg-spinner, Rahul Tewatia is next on the list and is expected to bag big bucks. Delhi Daredevil has bought him for 3 crore. Deepak Hooda is next on the line to get sold. Delhi initially bought him for 3.6 crore but Hyderabad used the RTM to gain his services.

16:55 pm – Vijay Shankar

Vijay Shankar has been bought by Delhi Dardevils for 3.2 crore. Harshal Patel, the bowling all-rounder has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for 20 lacs. Under-19 fast bowler, Kamlesh Nagarkoti had impressed one all with his pace and was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for 3.2 crore.

17:04 pm – Krunal Pandya

Brother of India international, Hardik Pandya, Krunal has been retained by Mumbai Indians via RTM after Bangalore bought him for 8.8 crore. Nitish Rana, the former Mumbai Indians batsman has been sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for 3.4 crore.

17:14 pm – D’Arcy Short

The highest run-scorer in the BBL, Short is up for the grabs. Rajasthan Royals has gained his services for 4 crore. Shivam Dube, is next on line to get traded. Would he? No, he didn’t find any buyers. The lesser-known Jofra Archer is now on the list. The England all-rounder has been bought by 7.2 crore by the Rajasthan Royals.

17:28 pm – Jitesh Sharma

The uncapped wicket-keeper has been unsold. Ishan Kishan, the wicket-keeper who last represented Gujarat Lions in 2017 went to Mumbai Indians for a whopping 6.2 crore. Unknown Nikhil Naik, Ben McDermott and Aditya Tare have gone unsold. Ankush Bains wasn’t the exception as he went unsold as well.

17:37 pm – Vishnu Vinod

The wicket-keeper went unsold alongside Sheldon Jackson. Prashant Chopra had a same fate as well as he went unsold.

Now for the uncapped fast-bowlers.

17:41 pm – Kulwant Khejroliya

The young pacer has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 85 lacs. The next on the list is Siddharth Kaul. The former Hyderabad pacer has returned to the same franchise for 3.8 crore. T Natrajan, the left-arm fast bowler went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 40 lacs. Basil Thampi, uncapped India pacer has been sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 95 lacs. Next on the list is Rajneesh Gurbani, who remains unsold. The left-arm pacer Aniket Choudhary goes to Bangalore for 30 lacs. The youngster Syed Khaleel Ahmed has been sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for 3 crore. Navdeep Saini is next on the list and boy, he has bagged some bucks. He goes to Bangalore for 3 crore.
