Mitchell Johnson who was a part of the winning squad in Australia will spearhead the attack of the Kings XI Punjab termed AB de Villiers as the best batsman across all formats of cricket at the moment.
Johnson added that he always enjoyed bowling to the likes of AB and said that he has been the best player for the past two years, that every bowler enjoys bowling to a batsman of AB’s caliber and that any batsman with talent can tear a bowler apart on his day.
Johnson also reserved praise for the Indian talent that is growing in the Punjab ranks and said that it was always important for fringe players like him to keep talking to youngsters who are keen to learn. He added that there is not a lot of difference between the T20 format and the ODI format and that the formats roll into each other which asks the players to get used to them very quickly.
When asked about Johnson he said that he likes to be quick and that any batsman will have problems facing a bowler at more than 140kmph and pitching in the right areas. He also added that he works a lot on his batting and that he hopes it will help the team he plays in some day.
