‘M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story’ still going strong at the Box Office: Crosses 100-crore mark after 4 days

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biographical film has continued to receive the overwhelming response of the audience. The movie created a huge hype before the release and it has totally justified all the buzz surrounding it.
The Sushant Singh starrer movie which traces Dhoni’s inspirational journey of a small town boy to one of the biggest cricket stars in the world is making waves at the Box Office. On the very first day, it left behind several big Bollywood films in terms of first-day collection. The biopic collected a whopping amount of Rs 21.30 on the opening day and registered the second-biggest opening of the year behind only Salman Khan’s Sultan. On the second day, i.e on Saturday, it did a good business once again and collected Rs 20.60 crores. On Sunday, the movie left behind the collection of the first two days and collected an amount of Rs 24.10 crore.
By the end of the weekend, the movie registered a total collection of Rs 66 crores on domestic box office. The movie was doing well not only in India but in overseas too as it collected Rs 21.96 crores till Sunday. With the movie going strong, there were speculations all around that it will cross the 100-crore mark soon.
Well, the movie registered a downfall in the collection on the fourth compared to the collection of the first three days but there is some good news for the makers as it has crossed the 100-crore mark after the fourth day. The movie has now entered weekdays but it is still doing decent business at the Box office. One can say that Dhoni’s huge popularity across the country is playing a big role in determining the movie’s success at the Box office. And it did a fairly good business on Monday too and collected an estimated amount of Rs 10.50 crores* to its account. With this, the total collection of the highly-awaited biopic after first 4 days has registered a net collection of Rs 76.50 crores* and 106.25 crores* gross.
