Mahendra Singh Dhoni Is The Coolest Man One Can Ever Know, Says Mohammad Kaif
Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has described Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the ‘coolest’ customer on the ground when asked by one of his fans on micro-blogging site Twitter to say few words about the Ranchi-born wicket-keeper batsman.
The 36-year-old Kaif, who scored an unbeaten 87 off 109 balls in 2002 at Lord’s against England – to register a historic win in the NatWest Trophy final, termed Dhoni as “the coolest man one can ever know” on Twitter while responding to one of the questions using hashtag #AskKaif.
The 35-year-old Dhoni, who has been India’s most successful captain, has been effusively praised by Kaif over his match-winning performances during his defining career.
Following his calm and composed manner, the Jharkhand-born Dhoni led India to World Cup Twenty20 in 2007, followed by an ODI World Cup win in 2011 and Champions Trophy in 2013.
India topped the ICC Test Rankings chart under Dhoni’s dynamic leadership for around 18 months.
Kaif, who is active on Twitter, has featured in 125 One-Day Internationals, 13 Tests for India since making his international debut in 2000.
Unorthodox in style, Dhoni made his international debut in 2004 against Bangladesh in ODIs.
Before announcing retirement in 2014, he played 90 Tests and scored 4,876 at an average of 38.
The right-handed Dhoni has also played 76 T20 in which he has amassed 1,209.
Dhoni averages 50.96 in 286 ODI games.
