Make your Comebacks Stronger than your Setbacks, Says Ravindra Jadeja after Squad Announcement for Australia ODIs

Hours after Team India’s squad was announced for the first three games of the upcoming five-match One-Day International series against Australia, Ravindra Jadeja posted a cryptic message on Twitter that is bound to raise some eyebrows.
The left-arm spinner, who did not have the best of outings in the Champions Trophy, was not a part of the squad for the Sri Lanka series and has not been included in the team for the upcoming matches too.
Chief selector MSK Prasad has confirmed that the spinner along with Ravichandran Ashwin has not been dropped, but rested.
“The team for the three ODIs against Australia has been selected in line with the rotation policy of the Board and accordingly R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been rested. The team’s performance during the Sri Lanka tour was outstanding, and players like Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal, who performed very well are being given an extended run, and this will, in turn, supplement our approach, to build a strong reserve strength, as we prepare for forthcoming tours,” Prasad said.
However, Jadeja’s tweet suggests otherwise, as it hinted that the snub from the team is a setback for the Saurashtra star.
“Make your comebacks stronger than your setbacks,” Jadeja tweeted.

Interestingly, Jadeja deleted the tweet soon perhaps to avoid any controversy. Meanwhile, it should be noted that Jadeja has not managed to deliver the goods with the white ball in recent times. He managed only four wickets in the Champions Trophy and failed to do well against Windies. He remained wicketless in the first three games in the Caribbeans before being dropped from the team.
