The rivalry between India and Pakistan is well known to the whole world. During the match between the two arch-rivals, the streets wear deserted, stadiums thrumming with cheers for the teams. Emotions run high whenever the two teams are facing each other; even the players feel the heat. And, so. happened with the Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, who could not help herself to take a sly dig at India.
In the opening ceremony of the World Cup 2019, a short 60-second challenge was conducted. All the ten participating nations were represented by one cricket legend and one celebrity. Former India skipper Anil Kumble and Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar have had represented India. Meanwhile, Malala and Azhar Ali played for Pakistan.
Represented by former captain Kevin Pietersen and Chris Hughes of Love Island fame, England won the competition. The hosts faired with a score of 74, whereas with 64 runs Australia came second. Afghanistan, South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka were next in the line. Meanwhile, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh and India were at seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth position respectively.
Having completed ahead of India, Malala feels happy about it rather than her performance.
Having ended with 38 runs, Malala took a sly dig at India expressing her happiness for finishing ahead of India. India was the only team with scores below 20, they were able to score only 19 runs in the competition.
You praise Pakistan, a nation where you can’t go.
You demean India like a typical brainwashed Pakistani, yet India is a nation which you can safely visit.
Stop being petty and disgusting @Malala. pic.twitter.com/MGugFTKCfV

Following the ceremony, England and South Africa will gear up to take on the first match of the tournament. Meanwhile, India and Pakistan will face each other in the 22nd match to be held on June 16. India has always come out as the winner in the past when facing Pakistan in the World Cup.
However, Pakistan has a solid bowling attack supporting them in this showpiece tournament. It will be highly intriguing to watch the outcome of the 22nd match of the tournament.
