Man Suffering From Cerebral Palsy Bats For Shane Warne 1

Kristopher Hinz, who is suffering from cerebral palsy and is unable to walk without the help of sticks and orthotics, has lauded legendary cricketer Shane Warne for motivating him and sponsoring his treatment for six years through his charity foundation.

The charity named the Shane Warne Foundation was under investigation an year ago for wrongdoings but still is not cleared of all those speculations. Unable to remain quiet, Hinz wrote to the Herald Sun to speak about Warne’s  helping nature.

He wrote: “He stayed at the foundation for hours longer than he was scheduled to, and bowled to me and the others until his managers dragged him away.” .

“Warne came into my life at a time when I stood on the sidelines of the cricket field jealously, wishing to participate and cursing my disability.”

The cricket enthusiast also revealed he has a signed portrait of Warne and a photo of the pair together in his bedroom. He also revealed Warne’s nature is completely different than what is perceived in public.

“The public perception of him is that he is arrogant, rude or aloof. That he’s not very connected to the everyday person,” he said.

“That is quite different to what I experienced with the foundation. He was personable, approachable and very down to earth,” Hinz added.

Delighted with Hanz’ letter, Warne took to Twitter to share the article and wished him luck.
