The recent ball-tampering scandal involving Australia has divided the world into two halves. While there is absolutely no doubt that the shameful incident drew criticism from all quarters, there are mixed reactions since then.
On the third day of the Cape Town Test, Cameron Bancroft was spotted trying to change the condition of the ball with sandpaper. Later, Smith sensationally revealed that the ‘leadership group planned it.’ Not surprisingly, repercussions soon followed. The ICC banned Smith for a match.
Cricket Australia then went ahead and banned the batsman for a year. The Australian board also handed lengthy bans to David Warner and Bancroft. All the three players were sent home ahead of the fourth Test.
The world was then moved to see Smith breaking down while addressing the media in Sydney. But while the majority has sympathized with the players, many have derived a funny side of the incident.
The fans have come up with some absolute hilarious memes on the incident. And now popular condom brand Manforce have come up with their marketing gimmick, trolling Australia’s disgraced trio.
They tweeted the poster on their Twitter account and wrote::
“Play fair, play safe and enjoy the game of love. #NoTampering #PamperNotTamper #Sandpapergate.”

Meanwhile, Smith and Warner will not feature in this year’s Indian Premier League. The duo has been banned by the BCCI too. Smith was due to lead Rajasthan Royals while Warner was in line to captain Sunrisers Hyderabad. On the other hand, Somerset have terminated Bancroft’s contract.
