The Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary went unsold in the IPL 2020 auction as no franchise was interested to take the 34-year-old in the team. This was his second successive years when no franchise has picked the right-handed batsman.
Perhaps, Tiwary was seen celebrating his snub in the auction. He shared the video on his Twitter handle where he was seen enjoying near sea-side in a restaurant.
He captioned the post: “Life should not only be lived, but it should also be celebrated. So here I’m celebrating the snub from IPL 2020 Auction.”

Tiwary has played for Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Daredevils (now called Delhi Capitals), Kolkata Knight Riders and Rising Pune Supergiant. He last wore the jersey of KXIP in 2018 where he played 5 matches but was unimpressive with the bat, averaging 15.66. In IPL 2020 auction, Tiwary had a base price of 50 Lakh, but none of the franchise was interested in taking his service.

Manoj Tiwary is regular in domestic cricketer for Bengal. He has scored 3,384 runs in the T20s. In 163 List A cricket, he has struck 5466 runs averaging 42.37. Tiwary has also played for India in 12 ODIs and 3 T20Is. He is said to be unfortunate in the Indian cricket because despite impressing, he didn’t get many chances.
Earlier, former Indian spinner Murali Kartik also commented on ignoring him in the auction.
“I don’t tweet a lot, this is somewhat late since the auctions were a few days ago, but I can’t understand how players like @tiwarymanoj not be picked, these are guys who have given everything for the franchise they played for.other players who come to mind @s_badrinath & @pragyanojha.”
