Manoj Tiwary chosen as captain for Team India for practice match against Sri Lanka
It appears that the captaincy skill displayed by Manoj Tiwary during the practice matches against West Indies is paying a good dividend to him as he has once again been chosen to lead Team India for the practice match against the Sri Lankan Team. Another development that comes as a big relief for the millions of Indian cricket fans is that splashing batsman Rohit Sharma will make a comeback and has been included in the squad which is to be led by Manoj Tiwary.
Unmukt Chand has also been in a superb form since last two practice matches against West Indies, because he scored a half-century and a century which proved to be vital for Team India’s victory. But this is high time for India’s Chinaman, Kuldeep Yadav to prove his worth this time as he didn’t get a chance to play in the last practice matches. The most interesting equation is with Manish Pandey who got selected in the T20 Team against West Indies but unfortunately it could never take place.
Here’s the full squad Monoj Tiwary would be leading:
- Manoj Tiwary (C)
- Unmukt Chand
- Manish Pandey
- Manan Vohra
- Karun Nair
- Rohit Sharma
- Kedar Jadhav
- Sanju Samson (WK)
- Parvez Rasool
- Karn Sharma
- Kuldeep Yadav
- Stuart Binny
- Dhawal Kulkarni
- Jasprit Bumrah
On a personal note, I would love to see the noteworthy performances of Jaspreet Bomrah, Parvez Rasool and Manan Vohra.
