Marnus Labuschagne is the accidental hero of Australia who came as the replacement of a teammate in the Ashes 2019 and has now earned a permanent place in the Test team. Above that, he will also make the debut in the ODI series against India. Labuschagne seems to be excited to play against India in India.
Entering the ground with chewing the gum and scoring centuries is the special talent Australian cricketer Marnus Labuschagne has got. He has an incredible summer Test series. In the last five Test matches, he has scored three centuries and one double century (against New Zealand).
In 2018, he made the debut in the Australian Test team. He had a satisfactory start in his career. Labuschagne got the opportunity in Ashes 2019 where he amazed by his performance. During Ashes, Steve Smith was ruled out of the third Test match because of concussion which opened up the place to Labuschagne.

Since then, he has not stopped his bat from scoring half-centuries and centuries. Now, Marnus Labuschagne is looking forward to the next challenge against India. He believes that India is the toughest team, especially, to beat the Men in Blue in India is a tough task.
“Whenever you play India, it’s a tough series because they’re a very tough opposition. They’ve got great batters and bowlers, so it’s going to be a challenge,” Labuschagne was quoted as saying by the Cricket Australia website.
“But as a player, you always want to test yourself against the best opposition in the toughest conditions, and there’s nothing tougher than India in India.”
The 25-year-old is being already compared with big players like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, and Kane Williamson. However, he believes that there is a lot more work to be done before he is compared to modern-day successful cricketers.
After competing against Sri Lanka in the home T20Is, India will play the three-match ODI series against the visiting side Australia, scheduled from 14-19 January.
