Bangladesh’s ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has deactivated his official Facebook Page in order to protest and stand by his teammate Nasir Hossian. Few das back, Nasir uploaded a selfie of himself along with his sister holding a National Flag and in that, the fans started to make some vulgar comments which prompted Nasir to take the picture down.
In reply, he posted a new post according to which he got hurted by the comments and asked a set of people to unfollow him. He posted: Dear fans, I really get hurt by your comments. I posted this pic on request of my younger sister; many of you put bad comments on it. And some of them made fun posts with it. I have removed the picture. Are you happy now? I do not need fans like you. Whoever do not like me, please don’t follow me and put comments in my picture. Thank you!
Mortaza had publicly criticised such response from followers and said that he was irked by the abusive comments. While speaking to bdnews24.com, he said he deactivated his Facebook account to support Nasir. He quoted: I shut down the page only for Nasir. To be with Nasir and protest such incident, I have taken down my official page as a protest. If we have such bad experience after opening a Facebook page, I do not need this.
