Former Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has tested positive for coronavirus. He had complained about fever on Thursday night, following which his test samples proved that he has contracted with the deadly virus.
Mashrafe Mortaza has served Bangladesh since the early 2000s and has been one of the flag-bearer for the country. Mortaza is the most successful captain for Bangladesh with his retirement catching the light during the 2019 World Cup.

“Mashrafe complained of fever on Thursday night. On Friday his sample for Covid19 test was collected and the result showed positive [today]. He is doing well at the moment and his family is also fine,” informed the source.

Reports have also suggested his mother-in-law had contracted with coronavirus last week. Mortaza has played 78 wickets in Tests, 270 ODI wickets and 42 scalps in the shortest format of the game.
