The incident occurred in the 17th over of the game when both the players were involved in a verbal clash and were hurling derogatory remarks on each other. The clash between the two continued even after the umpire intervention. It occurred in the heat of the moment as Australian team experienced an epic downfall, they were packed on a total of 167 which the home team chased quite easily in the end.
