ToggleKings XI Punjab opening batsman Mayank Agarwal on Tuesday tweeted his excitement for getting back on the pitch for the IPL 2020. The 29 year old, right-handed batsman on Tuesday shared a picture donning his Kings XI jersey and cricket kit on his back with the caption opining his excitement for the return
The tweet comes as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the IPL 2020 will be played for 53 days, from September 19 – November 10, in the UAE subject to clearance from the Government of India. The tournament will be held across three venues in UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah).

Mayank Agarwal Expresses His Excitement For IPL 2020
The BCCI has laid its protocol that Indian players need to test negative five times prior to their trainings in UAE and will be subsequently tested for coronavirus in every five days during the IPL. A gap of 7 months would surely lead to fitness issues, and the players need to achieve the right physique in the nick of time.
“Can’t wait to hit the ground running. Bring it on! @lionsdenkxip,” Mayank tweeted.

Mayank has made 77 appearances in the IPL for Royal Challlengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, Rising Pune Supergiants and Kings XI Punjab. He has scored a total of 1270 runs with a low average of 18.41.
KXIP aspiring their first IPL victory
The Kings XI Punjab would like to see more runs from Mayank Agarwal in this campaign as they hope for their maiden IPL win. They have played the final once, but never won. Punjab started off both 2018 and 2019 campaigns strong but lost track in the later stages and failed to book a place in the play offs.

Kings XI have made some strong decisions this year, with letting Captain Ashwin leave, KL Rahul will captain the side this season. Glenn Maxwell is ready for a second stint with Punjab this season, but could join the side in the second half of the IPL, due to a shoulder surgery later this month.
