Meet the young left-arm spinner who is terrorising the batsmen 1

The Indian Test team is looking quite settled now. Under young and dynamic captain Virat Kohli, the team is oozing with confidence. The batting and bowling units are looking quite settled now.

With players like Karun Nair, Shardul Thakur, Manish Pandey, Robin Uthappa, the Indian team is also having a strong bench to replace the regular players. However, the lack of quality left-arm spinner might bother the team management. Ravindra Jadeja has been performing brilliantly in Tests ever since making his debut in the 2013-14 Border-Gavaskar series and is a guaranteed starter in the playing eleven. And now a player has caught the attention of one and all with his brilliant performance in the CK Nayudu Trophy and if he keeps on performing like that, he can be the next big left-arm spinner that the team is looking for.

Playing for Chattisgarh, Shubham Thakur has taken 18 wickets in only two matches and has played an important role in his team’s win. When his coach was asked about it, he said:” Shubham is different from other spinners. He looks to drift the ball in the air rather than on the pitch. For him, it does not matter whether the ball is new or old, he has the ability to take wickets.”
