- Caribbean treatment for Pakistan:
Back in 1992, just after Pakistan won the official one-day crown, they travelled to West Indies for a test series hoping to gain a number one status in the longest format of the game.
On this day that year, nothing went right for the visitors after they chose to field after winning the toss. 87 off just 90 balls from Phil Thompson and a sizzling century from Desmond Haynes made sure that the Windies were in complete control of the game right from the first day. The only positive for Pakistan from this game was a hard fought 92 from Basit Ali.
Pakistan lost the series 2-0 and gave West Indies their 12th consecutive test game without a loss, a record broken by England a year later.
