The New Zealand batsman who scored a sublime 171 in his debut innings for his country, Hamish Rutherford, son of Ken Rutherford was born today.
He scored his maiden century on his debut against England at Dunedin in 2013 and has ever since failed to cement a place in his national side. That remains his highest score in international cricket in any format. He has scored 755 runs in his test career in 29 innings and at just 27 years of age, has a great chance of making a comeback into the test squad.
This career is in stark contrast to his dad Ken’s career that started with a pair on his debut.
