Michael Clarke Hails MS Dhoni on a Great Achievement

Former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is arguably one of the greatest icons the game and the way he has been able to maintain his aura over a period of over ten years is pretty exemplary.

Under his leadership, India has scaled great heights, and till today he remains the only captain in the world to lead his nation to victories in all three major ICC tournaments; ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and ICC World Twenty20.

Despite not being the same old Dhoni he was four years back, he still a force to reckon with and silenced his critics with two match-winning innings in the 2nd and 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka in the ongoing series. He is currently playing his 300th ODI against Sri Lanka at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. It is undoubtedly a mind-boggling achievement for the cool customer to play 300 ODI’s, given the fact he made his debut just a shade over the decade ago.

His rise in the international circuit has been rapid, and he has left a lasting impression in the world of cricket which will be etched in golden letters for many years post his retirement. He has been a great ambassador for the sport, and it was what former Aussie captain Michael Clarke had to say about his achievement. The two have been part of several battles between them but have a mutual respect for each other.

“What a superstar! Great player, great guy, great record, great ambassador for the game of cricket,”

Clarke wrote on his twitter handle while replying to an individual on the staggering record of this iconic celebrity. Meanwhile, the Men in Blue has opted to bat first in the 4th ODI, and captain Virat Kohli has got them off to a brilliant start. The Modern Master has already completed his half-century in a mere 38 deliveries along with Rohit Sharma.
