Former Australian captain Michael Clarke has clarified that he is not going to be part of Pakistan Super League next year.
There have been speculations in the recent months that Clarke would be available for the PSL draft next year which could see him make a return to cricket. Pakistan newspaper Dawn has reported that Clarke had been allocated into the upcoming PSL draft’s highest salary-cap category earlier this week alongside a host of current cricket players.
“Clarke will be part of the Platinum category along with the likes of McCullum, Morgan, Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Stuart Broad, Lasith Malinga, Mahela Jayawardene and Kieron Pollard,” Dawn quoted earlier as per reports from their reliable sources.
However, the 35-year old has denied his return and confirmed it through his twitter.

The former Australian skipper has retired from international cricket last year after their loss to England in Ashes series but has admitted he could play in T20 league across the world.
The 35-year old right-handed batsman has participated in the Hong Kong T20 Blitz earlier this year and has turned out for his Sydney club side Western Suburbs for the first two matches of this season.
However, he has already confirmed that he won’t be available for this year’s Big Bash League as he has opted to join the commentary panel for the Test summer later this year.
The first edition of the PSL was played in Dubai earlier this year and has drawn attention from across the world as it has seen many stars feature in the inaugural edition. Australian players Shane Watson, Brad Haddin, Brad Hodge and Shaun Tait have all participated in the first edition of PSL while big names like Kevin Pietersen, Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Andre Russell have also taken part in the league.
The next edition of PSL is expected to have star-studded players like (Brendon) McCullum, (Eoin) Morgan, Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Stuart Broad, Lasith Malinga, Mahela Jayawardene and Kieron Pollard as they look to make it one of the best T20 Leagues in the world over the coming years.
