Injured Australian skipper Michael Clarke believes it is his amplitude to field at full power that will largely domineer when he returns to international cricket.

Injury-plagued Michael Clarke had been fixed a target of fielding a minimum of 25 overs for an unofficial practice game against a Bangladesh XI. He was on the field for 32 overs before coming off (at Brisbane). He is yet to be healthy for the ICC World Cup beginning from 14th February.

He bowled 2 overs in the game apart from getting 34 runs in his 2nd warm-up game after hamstring operation less than two months ago.

However, the 34 years old captain acknowledged on Friday that it was a good catch he took at slip position which gave him the heavenly satisfaction.

Clarke was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au: “My running is close to full speed now so I’ll keep doing some work there. I will keep working hard on my strength and doing as much cricket-related stuff as possible.”

He also said that yesterday at Allan Border Field fielding with Mike Young was a good start. That is possibly the domain that he needs to be fully satisfied that his body can cope with going hundred miles an hour. That is the way he has always played his cricket and how he wants to continue to play.

He added that he does not want to be cramped in where he fields and how he fields, he wants to be able to play the kind of cricket he has played in his whole career. He is always been a believer in fielding being a vital part of having success in any format of the cricket match.
