Though MS Dhoni is still ready to lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he is moving towards the last phase of his cricket career. The former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey, who is a long time member of CSK, believes that the IPL team will always keep Dhoni involved even after his retirement.
The IPL 2020 was initially scheduled to run from 29th March to 24th May 2020. But the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus has forced to postpone this tournament, and there is no assurance on the future of the IPL 2020. This edition was more important because of MS Dhoni’s return to the cricket.

The CSK captain Dhoni last time played a cricket match during the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on 10th July 2019. While he made himself unavailable for the game since that tournament, he recently started practice seriously for the forthcoming IPL season. However, the coronavirus has delayed his return to the game. While Dhoni’s international cricket future is unsure yet, he is likely to play the next IPL edition too. Whatever Dhoni is moving to the last phase of his cricket career.
The CSK is known to continue their long time cricketers with the team even after they retire from the game. Stephen Fleming and Michael Hussey are the prominent examples in this list as Fleming is currently handling the Head Coach role of the team and Hussey is the batting coach.
Hussey believes that the Chennai franchise will keep Dhoni involved even after he retires from the game. While Dhoni’s retirement will begin a new era for CSK, Hussey feels that it will be more challenging for this team than the present situation.

Michael Hussey told Sanjay Manjrekar on ESPNCricinfo’s Videocast, “That’s a 60-million-dollar question, and I am equally intrigued. I believe the owners would like to keep Dhoni involved in some way or the other.
“However, whenever the change of guard happens, CSK might want to start all over again, build a brand, new team, and use their existing philosophy as they enter the next decade of IPL. It is definitely going to be more challenging in current times.”
MS Dhoni is the greatest finisher of all time: Michael Hussey
While Mr Cricket Hussey was known as one of the best finishers in the cricket world, he believes that Dhoni is the greatest finisher of all time in the cricket world. Hussey praised Dhoni for maintaining the high-level self-belief.

The former Aussie cricketer said, “Dhoni is the greatest finisher of all time that the cricketing world has ever produced.
“Dhoni can keep his cool and make the opposition captain blink first. Dhoni also has unbelievable power. He knows that when he needs to clear the ropes, he can do it. He has that kind of self-belief. Honestly, I didn’t have that kind of belief in myself.
“I tried not to let it reach 12 or 13 runs an over. And I learnt this from MS Dhoni. He is incredible.
“He believes that he who panics last wins the game. So Dhoni would keep his cool, and keep it longer because the pressure is on the bowler as well.”
