Michael Hussey Picks Fearsome IPL XI, Selects MS Dhoni As Captain

Former Australian batsman Michael Hussey has picked his fearsome IPL XI in which he selected MS Dhoni as the captain of the side. Hussey has played under the leadership of MS Dhoni for the Chennai Super Kings and has observed the great man in action. Rohit Sharma and David Warner are the openers in Hussey’s side. David Warner is the leading run-getter in the IPLas an overseas batsman he has scored 4706 runs 126 IPL matches at an impressive average of 43.17 and a blistering strike rate of 142.39.

Rohit Sharma has amassed 4898 runs in 188 IPL matches at an average of 31.6 and a strike rate of 130.82. Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli makes the cut into Hussey’s team as the talisman is the leading run-getter in IPL with 5412 runs from 177 matches.

MS Dhoni has led CSK to three IPL titles.

South Africa’s former captain AB de Villiers takes the fourth position in the batting line-up for Hussey. AB has amassed 4395 runs in 154 IPL matches at an impressive average of 39.12 and a staggering strike rate of 151.24.

MS Dhoni is the wicket-keeper of the side and bats at number five. Dhoni has scored 4432 runs in 190 IPL matches. Hardik Pandya and Andre Russell are two all-rounders of the team. Russell has amassed 1400 runs in 60 matches at a strike rate of 186.42 and he has also scalped 55 wickets whereas Pandya has scored 1068 runs in 66 IPL matches and has claimed 42 wickets.

Rashid Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal are the two spinners of the side. Rashid has snared 55 wickets in 44 IPL matches at an impressive economy rate of 6.55 Chahal has taken 100 wickets in 84 IPL matches.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah constitute the pace battery of the side. Jasprit Bumrah, who is one of the best death bowlers in the IPL, has picked 82 wickets in 77 matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken 133 wickets in 117 matches at 23.71 and has bagged Purple cap on two occasions.

Kings XI Punjab captain KL Rahul is the 12th man in the side. Rahul has amassed 1977 runs in 67 IPL matches at an impressive average of 42.06 and a strike rate of 138.16.
