Michael Vaughan Showers Praise On Virat Kohli

The former England skipper, Michael Vaughan, who is in India nowadays covering the Test series between India and England, has heaped praises on the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and has said that Virat Kohli is taking Test cricket to another level. Not just this, he also tweeted in his support and also wrote that England team will lose this game as he tweeted

Further praising Kohli, he even went on to say that M.S. Dhoni did not take this format seriously and said, “Virat Kohli is doing wonders for Test-match cricket. M.S. Dhoni didn’t take it too seriously.

Further praising the Indian batting line-up he added, “It’s been so entertaining. It’s full-scale attack from England – reverse sweeps, lap dogs, dancing down the pitch. Full credit to them – they’ve had a real good go in the second innings. They’ve done the right thing, putting a few men on the boundary by playing shots. It is beautiful variations that Ashwin has. What a day India have had but you’ve got to give England credit for the way they’ve played.

Vaughan’s praise for Indian skipper and Indian batting lineup have come after Indian team, who were stuck in a difficult situation yesterday went on to not just clear the debt but also gained a mammoth lead over England after the completion of two innings in the game. It was all England’s game on day three as their bowlers made a comeback yesterday by taking few quick wickets but Virat Kohli and Jayant Yadav assured that India team is not behind England’s total and helped them to gain a crucial lead over the visitors.

Virat Kohli especially was a useful cog as the Indian skipper scored yet another double century this year, to tumble the records, becoming the first ever Indian cricketer to score three double centuries in a year. Not just this, as for the first time in his career, his batting average touched the magical number of 50. He was well supported by the all-rounder Jayant Yadav who also scored a century in just fourth innings of Test cricket. He supported Kohli quite well and never in the innings it looked like he is a batsman who comes out at number 9. His drives, cuts and the art of leaving the ball reflected that he is a pure middle order batsman, who can also face the new ball if needed.

Surely Jayant is an asset for the team providing a competitive advantage to Indian team over others and if he is able to play like this for long, then no one can stop team India from marching ahead and climb the stairs of success with each and every passing day in Test cricket.
