New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan has always freely shown a deep love for his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI). He started his journey in the cash-rich league with MI in 2015. Since then, he has played for them in every IPL season. In the recent post, the bowler showed his love for Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma.
McClenaghan was impressed with India’s vice-captain performance in the third T20I match against New Zealand on Wednesday. The ‘Hitman’ Rohit had scored 65 in Hamilton. While in the super over against New Zealand, Rohit struck six in the last ball. With this, India secured the T20I series. Unfortunately, Kane Williamson-led side had another bad experience in super over.

Mitchell McClenaghan showed love for his IPL captain – Rohit Sharma:
Soon after the match, McClenaghan tweeted ‘Captain on Captian’. Replying to the tweet, an Indian fan asked whether he tweeted for his New Zealand captain Williamson or his Indians captain Rohit Sharma since both the players had done incredibly well in the match.
McClenaghan didn’t hesitate to take the name of Rohit. He admitted that he praised Rohit in his tweet.

Kiwis bowler McClenaghan has been retained for the upcoming IPL season which is head to start at the end of March.

The left-arm pacer was part of Indians’ title-winning squads in 2015, 2017 and 2019 respectively. He has played 56 IPL matches and picked 71 wickets.
Currently, the 33-year-old has been dropped from the national team.
Talking about the game, asked to bat first, India has set the target of 180 runs. Chasing the target, Kiwi skipper Williamson played career-best T20I innings, scoring 95 runs off 48 balls. Although his effort went in vain.
Moreover, New Zealand went on to lose a third straight game against India. Also, it was the first time India had won the T20I series against Kiwis at their home.
