In the fourth T20I match, India’s opener Rohit Sharma was given rest and Sanju Samson made it as an opener in the final XI. However, Samson failed to grab the opportunity. He lost his wicket in the second over, scoring just eight runs.
After Samson was sent back to the pavilion, Virat Kohli came to the crease to bat at No.3. But he could not set up a much-needed partnership with KL Rahul.
On the bowling of Hamish Bennett, The skipper tried to hit the short ball but ended up giving a catch to airborne Santner who completed the sensational catch.

Soon after Kohli lost his wicket, Shreyas Iyer (1) and Rahul (39) were sent back to the dressing room. While the allrounder Shivam Dube (12) also lost his wicket on the ball of Ish Sodhi. Subsequently, the middle-order struggled to deliver.
However, Manish Pandey, who has remained not out in the last three games, scored an unbeaten 50 although he got a little support from the lower order. Pacer Shardul Thakur (20) and Navdeep Saini (11) contributed to the 166-run target given to New Zealand.
However, the host New Zealand had lost the series after losing three consecutive matches in the five-match T20I series.
Also, captain and crucial player Kane Williamson is not playing the fourth T20I due to a sore shoulder. He picked the injury in the third T20I at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
