In Bollywood, biopics have become a common now, especially of Indian cricketers. After MS Dhoni, we saw the biopic of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Now, we will witness the biopic of India’s woman cricketer Mithali. Beside Mithali’s biopic, Indian fans will also see the Indian woman pacer, Jhulan Goswami’s story in cinemas. While the surprising fact is that India’s captain Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma will play the role of Goswami.
Mithali Raj as a ‘game-changer’:
Mithali announced retirement from T20 format in last September and shifted her entire focus to the ODI cricket. The cricketer has many women’s batting records to her name. She is labelled as one of the best woman cricketers in the world.

The swashbuckling cricketer is the only woman to surpass the 6,000-run mark in women’s ODIs. Raj became the first woman to play in 200 ODI matches. She also became the first player from India (either male or female) to score 2000 runs in T20Is.
