She is the only Indian cricketer to have scored more than 10,000 runs in Women’s international cricket. The skipper, who holds the record for the most runs in Women’s ODIs, achieved the major landmark as she led India’s chase of 220 in the ODI series finale.

Having already hit 2 successive fifties in the series, she scored 75 off 86 balls with 8 fours to finally guide Indian women to a victory by 4 wickets in the 3rd WODI against England.

India, chasing 220 runs in a truncated 47-over match, secured victory with three balls to spare. The skipper starred with an unbeaten knock of 75, off just 86 balls, and was declared the Player of the Match. The 2022 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand will be her swansong and the 38-year-old has been pushing herself hard to head into the tournament in good shape and form.
