Team India skipper Virat Kohli and Pakistan speedster Mohammad Amir have a mutual respect for each other especially after their duels in the Asia Cup and Champions Trophy.
While Kohli has established himself as one of the greatest batsmen of the modern generation, Amir, on the other hand, returned to the international fold a year back after serving a suspension due to his involvement in spot-fixing in 2010.
Kohli during a television chat with Bollywood Mr Perfectionist, Amir Khan, revealed Mohammad Amir as the best bowler he has faced in his career so far. Kohli and Amir went head to head for the first time during the Asia Cup and back then Kohli had heaped praise on Amir for bowling a sensational spell.

“I would like to complement Mohammad Amir for the way he bowled. I actually congratulated him while he was bowling. I was so happy to play such an amazing spell. He is a world-class bowler,” Kohli had said after Amir’s brilliant spell in the Asia Cup.
Amir responded warmly and thanked Kohli for his kind words.

“It’s the sort of encouragement that you need, and when it comes from a superstar like Virat, it means a lot. On the other hand, it’s a big challenge for me as well because it adds to my responsibility to prove that I am worth that praise. Even before the match, he used some good words for me. It was very kind of him,” Amir had said.
The left-arm seamer played a pivotal role in handing Pakistan their first ever Champions Trophy title when he bowled a sensational spell in the final against arch-rivals, India. In a fiery spell, Amir removed India’s top three; Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in quick time and there was no way back for the Men in Blue.
India was chasing a big target of 339, and after the triple strikes, India was all but out of the race and eventually lost the match by 180 runs.
