It has been a tough last few months for Mohammad Amir in his International career. The flamboyant cricketer was given a task to finish in England so that he could get a spot in the ICC World Cup 2019. However, it is highly unlikely, as he suffered chickenpox infection in England.
The fast bowler will miss the game against England in the 3rd ODI as well. He is currently with his family rather than being with the team, which tells the story of how worse it is for the fast bowler. However, the actual recovery period is yet to be known and the PCB hasn’t made any decision yet as well.

Mohammad Amir chances for World Cup in Jeopardy:
According to a report in ESPNCricinfo on Monday, Amir is all set to miss the third game in Bristol on Tuesday as it has emerged that the infection is suspected to be chickenpox. He is in London with his family and not with the team currently.
As per the report, if the left-arm pacer does not recover in time for Friday’s game, then it would be close to impossible for him to make it to the squad with only two ODIs left.
Amir has been their wrecker-in-chief over the years, especially, in the big events. However, they decided to go against him for his poor numbers in the recent past. Despite that, they gave one final chance for him to see what he is capable of doing for the team in England conditions.

He was in the XI for the first ODI at The Oval last week but the match was abandoned after 19 overs in which Pakistan batted first. He fell ill on Friday, ahead of the second ODI on Saturday. If he doesn’t make it, it will be the third World Cup he has missed since making his international debut in 2009.
Well, it would be interesting to see how Mohammad Amir handles the situation. He would hope to recover from the infection as quickly as possible to make things fall in place. Despite not making into the squad, Amir will be on the scheme of things if someone gets injured.
