Mohammad Hafeez ruled out of Limited over series against West Indies 1

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been ruled out of the limited-overs fixtures against West Indies which is scheduled to be played in U.A.E. later this month. After returning from England mid-way series, he was advised to take a rest of three weeks but he hasn’t been able to recover from that calf injury till now.

Talking about his injury, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel member Dr. Muhammad

Riaz said, “He is undergoing a rehab program at the national cricket academy but needs a further three weeks to make a complete recovery”.

Hafeez is going through the toughest phase of his life as earlier he had dry run in England with the bat scoring just 102 runs in first three Test matches before being eventually dropped for the final Test match. His poor form continued in ODI series as well as he could just fetch 48 runs in first two ODI’s before returning home due to injury. According to the sources, it is learnt that Hafeez may also be forced to skip the Test series as it is still not clear that whether he will be fit in time or not.

The West Indies team will play Pakistan in U.A.E. The series will kick off with 3 T20Is followed by 3 match ODI series. 3 Test matches series will mark the end of West Indies stay in U.A.E.
