Mohammad Kaif Trolled On Twitter For Welcoming Supreme Court’s Verdict On Triple Talaq 1

No matter what, the religious bigots are always finding one way or another to criticise Mohammad Kaif on social media. The former India cricketer had been targetted previously by the fanatics and was the subject of social media once again after he welcomed Supreme Court’s verdict on triple talaq.

In a landmark judgment, the Supreme Court, on Tuesday (August 22), banned the controversial Islamic practice that allows men to leave their wives immediately by saying talaq (divorce) thrice and identified the practice as unconstitutional.

And just the millions of Indians, Kaif also hailed the decision and took to Twitter to express his delight.

“Welcome decision by Supreme Court to declare #TripleTalaq unconstitutional. Will give Muslim women security. Gender justice is much needed,” the former batsman tweeted.

While many agreed with Kaif’s comment but just like on previous instances, some religious fanatics once again took a shot at the former cricketer as they expressed their disappointment over the comment.

Recently, Kaif was trolled for playing chess with his son. Last year, he was targetted after he posted a picture of himself doing a Surya Namaskar.

Meanwhile, several cricketers have been trolled on social media in recent times. Last month, Irfan Pathan was criticised for posting a picture with his wives.

Fast-bowler Mohammed Shami, who too was trolled for posting pictures with his wife in the past, was not spared either when he posted a picture of his daughter’s birthday celebration.
