Team India speedster Mohammed Shami was involved in a road accident while traveling from Dehradun to Delhi. The fast bowler was practicing in Dehradun for the last couple of days. He received four stitches on his head after his car was hit by a truck. He has been in the news in the recent past after his wife Hasin Jahan leveled several charges against him including adultery, having extra-marital affairs with several women and domestic violence. She also lodged a police complaint against the same. However, Shami has kept on denying all the allegations.
Shami trained at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy for a couple of fays which is run by Bengal and India A batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran’s father in Dehradun. It is done to make him cheerful mentally and physically.

“Mohammed Shami is safe and sound. He was returning to Delhi from Dehradun after training when there was a minor collision. He was taken to the hospital and got a few stitches on his head. He is perfectly fine and advised rest for a day. He is at a private place after being discharged yesterday only. He will return to Delhi tomorrow if health permits. There is no such injury which can hamper his participation in IPL,” Abhimanyu’s father was quoted as saying by the PTI.
Meanwhile, Shami’s wife had also alleged that he can also cheat his country just like the way he did to her. However, the BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit cleared Shami of any wrongdoings and hence got his central contract back. He has been handed over a Grade B annual contract and will receive Rs 3 crores. He will also take part in the upcoming Indian Premier League for his franchise Delhi Daredevils.

Meanwhile, Delhi Daredevils CEO Hemant Dua is happy with Shami’s clearance as the pacer is an integral part of the Daredevils bowling unit.
“I have just received the confirmation from the BCCI that Shami has been absolved of all charges related to corruption allegations. It’s welcome news for the franchise, and we are happy to have him back. We expect him to join the camp from the very first day,” CEO Dua said.
