Mohammed Shami Nearing Full Fitness 1

The Indian team is all set to receive a huge boost as their pace spearhead Mohammed Shami is closing in on a return from the long-term injury layoff. The fast-bowler took to Twitter to announce his return to action.

The right-arm fast bowler has not played since injuring his knee during third Test against England in November, 2016. The team did well in his absence during the remaining Tests against England but there is no denying the fact that Virat Kohli would be desperate to have the Bengal pacer in the playing eleven. In fact, the Indian team is so keen to have his back that he was even ordered to join the team during the T20 series against England to speed up his recovery.

He has not been picked in India’s 16-man squad for the first two Tests of the ongoing series against Australia but the team would be pleased to see that the bowler is nearing full fitness.

Posting a video of his training session where he was seen bowling a couple of deliveries at the nets with a steady run-up, he  tweeted:“Good session today. Feel comfortable”.
