Plastic has become the major issue as it is harming the environment most. Every country is taking major steps to ban single-use plastic and PM Narendra Modi has also urged Indians to stop using it. Indian pace bowler Mohammed Shami has also come in forward to support PM.
Shami recently took part in a programme organised by Hindustan Petroleum in Amroha. He participated and promoted to ban the single-use plastic. He opined to work forward for the cause and save the country and environment.
“We all know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started an initiative of cleaning the country be it Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or banning plastic in the country. We all must come forward and support Prime Minister’s initiatives and be the pacesetters for the cause,” Shami told reporters.

Shami has been given break after the West Indies Tour. He is not selected in the squad for T20I against South Africa. After recovering from injury, the bowler has given some stunning performance for India. The pacer is spending his break for good cause and spreading the message to save the environment. He spoke about the ill-effects of the environment.
“There are many ill effects of plastic on the environment. We should use plastic as less as possible and should take it away from our children,” Mohammed Shami concluded.
PM Modi on Independence appealed to stop single-use plastic from October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The environment is been harmed the most by the plastic as it is the non-biodegradable item. Also, the single-use plastic can neither be recycled or decomposed which more hazardous for the soil.
