India Vs Bangladesh: Mohammed Shami’s Bowling Stunt On First Day
It’s looking like its a hat-trick season. Deepak Chahar did the stunt and picked hat-trick in the T20I series. Unfortunately, he was not able to repeat his stunt in domestic cricket. Today it was the turn of another Indian pacer Mohammed Shami but he missed the opportunity.
India is currently playing the first Test match against Bangladesh in Indore. On the first day of the first Test match, Bangladesh opted to bat but their dream to score big total was pulled up by the Indian bowlers. The trail of picking up the wickets was started by Umesh Yadav. Bangladesh figures were 31-3.
Mohammed Shami was thinking about his hat-trick
There was a stage it looked like Mohammed Shami would pick the hat-trick. He picked the wickets of Mushfiqure Rahim and Mehidy Hassan in back-to-back deliveries after which umpire announced a Tea break. It was expected that he will take the third wicket on the next ball of his next over but missed the opportunity.
Mohammed Shami bowled 13 overs and picked 3 wickets. Every other Indian bowlers picked 2 wickets except the allrounder Ravindra Jadeja. Bangladesh was bundled out on 150 runs. The Bengal pacer, Shami, is glad for his contribution to the team.
I want to bowl according to the conditions and the situation. I want to stick to my plans. I have been going wide of the crease too in the last two years. I plan according to the batsman. You always enjoy when you do well for your team and country. I was thinking about the hat-trick during the tea break,” Mohammed Shami at the end of the day’s play.
The day ended with India scoring 86 runs at the loss of 1 wicket. Rohit Sharma lost his wicket early after just scoring 6 runs. Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara set a partnership of unbroken 72 runs. The duo will continue their partnership on next day.
