Mohit Ahlawat - The First Man To Score Triple Century In A T20 Game Named In Delhi U23 Preliminary Squad 1

Delhi batsman Mohit Ahlawat, who came into limelight after scoring a triple century in a T20I game earlier this year, has been named in Delhi U-23 preliminary squad for the upcoming season. Mohit has played a total of three Ranji Trophy games for Delhi in the year 2015.

The selection panel headed by Atul Wassan announced the 32 member squad for the upcoming season. Apart from Mohit, the squad includes likes of Jonty Sidhu and Manjot Kalra as well. The former led the India U19 side in two home Tests against England whereas the latter was a member of the India U19 side on recent tour to England. Apart from them, Yogesh Sharma, who played for India U19 in 2015 has also been named.

Pacer Sarang Rawat, who has played two Ranji and one T20I game also features in the team whereas Himmat Singh, an experience holder of three List A games too has been named. He was also selected for Delhi Ranji side in 2014 but did not make his debut.

Apart from them, the squad includes various players who have done well at the club level. The practice camp for the upcoming season has already started, and the squad will be pruned to 15 which will go in the CK Nayudu Trophy.

This year, BCCI has also announced a new one-day tournament for the U23 side, which will give these players more chances to present a case for the senior team.
