The IPL which is famous for the level of cricket played in the league is visible in all departments of the game. The batting and six hitting just seems to be getting better and better but we have also seen some brilliant bowling that has shown that the game is not made for the batsmen. However the fielding side of the game which is often overlooked has a huge impact on the game. Having safe hands and not dropping opportunities goes a long way in winning you matches.

The rock star from the Chennai team has been on fire in the field this season and has already taken few screamers contending for the catch of the season title. Yet another player from the Super Kings from Chennai, Dwayne Smith who has been in good form with the bat has not contributed a lot with the ball in hand. However he has proved his worth in the field by making sure that nothing gets past him. Smith has taken 9 catches this season taking him to second in the list.
Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis who is from South Africa, a team known for its fielding, has sometimes lit the ground up with his out fielding. Faf has taken 8 catches this season for the Chennai Super Kings who are reaping the benefits of some safe out fielding.
R Jadeja
The fourth player from the team from Chennai to make the list, Ravi Jadeja seems to be everywhere in the field saving crucial runs for his team with his athleticism and presence of mind. The third player from the Caribbean, Kieron Pollard set the bar for fielding efforts pretty high as soon as he came into light as a big hitter. Pollard who is one of the safest fielders in the world has taken 8 catches this season playing for the franchise from Mumbai.
JP Duminy
Another player who rarely drops anything that comes his way, Duminy who is the captain of the Delhi team has often set the tone for the standard of fielding as captain. He has also taken 8 catches in this season of the IPL but could not take his teams to the play offs.
D Warner
The only Australian in the list David Warner who is pro active in the field has taken Sunrisers very close to a place in the play offs. Warner who is the captain of the team has saved plenty of runs for his team on the field and has made the list with 8 catches for his name.
