The 2015 edition of the Cricket World Cup so far has dominated by the batsmen though the bowlers did manage to enjoy their bit in the matches so far. This domination from batsmen has given 3 players a brilliant opportunity to break one of the many records that is held by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

With 6 centuries in 45 matches, Sachin tops the list of players to score most number of centuries in Cricket World Cup. But closing in on him are players like de Villiers, Jayawardene, Sangakkara and Dilshan.
Jayawardene and Sangakkara are probably playing the last World Cup of their career. Mahela is are currently two centuries short to equal the number of centuries hit by Sachin. Sangakkara, who is only one behind Master Blaster, has already hit 4 back to back centuries in the 2015 World Cup so far and made a new record as well. He is currently the most backed player in the ongoing World Cup to at least equal the record of Ponting if not Sachin.
De Villiers and Dilshan have scored 4 and 3 centuries respectively and both these players have got at least another World Cup season to have a go at and quiet a few matches in this World Cup as well. So one thing that we can be sure of his that the Master and the Punter won’t be on top for long.
