2. Steve Smith – 26 centuries

Steve Smith and Virat Kohli are the biggest rivals in the red-ball format at the present time. This year the Aussie captain dethroned Virat from No.1 Test batsman position.
Smith was the highest scorer for his side in the Ashes 2019 where Australia retained the crown. It was his comeback series as he was banned for one year because of the ball-tampering scandal in 2018.
Smith played his maiden Test in 2010. Since Virat made the debut in 2011, Smith has scored 6968 runs in 121 innings of just 68 Test matches at an amazing average of 65.73, during which he has scored 26 centuries.
