The IPL acts as a big stage for budding cricketers to prove their worth and to show why they deserve a place in the national team. The cash rich league has given a career to many fringe players who have been in the domestic circuit for a long time and have not been recognized. Some young players have taken the opportunity with both hands and have shown the world that age is just a number.

Here is list of players who have scored most half-centuries before the age of 21:

Ajinkya Rahane:

Already an established international player, Rahane who also holds the orange cap in this season’s IPL has proved his consistency and his importance to the team. The Royals who have had great joy in the early part of the league have benefitted playing around Rahane who accumulates his runs in a silent but efficient manner. Before he turned 22, he had scored 2 half centuries in the IPL and gave the Indian glimpse of bright future.

Mandeep Singh

Another youngster who has shown that the stage of the IPL does not dictate the young minds, Mandeep Singh who plays for the KIXP has shown what he can do with the bat in the previous season when KIXP went on only to lose in the final.
