113* vs Pakistan, Chennai, 2012

5 Remarkable Knocks of MS Dhoni Which Can Make Anyone His Fan 1

That was a really bad day for India. The team had lost all of the top order against Pakistan in the first ODI match in Chennai.

Pakistan bowler Junaid Khan proved dangerous for India as he picked 4/43. Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, and Rohit Sharma scored  8, 4, 0, 2, 4 respectively. But Dhoni took the charge of the game.

Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and opted to field first.

Suresh Raina made 43 runs, but the innings that salvaged India’s reputation a bit came from captain Dhoni, who made 113* in 125 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes. And with the help of Ashwin (31*) took India to a respectable 227/6.

It was a magnificent knock by the captain but it could lead India to win the game. The bowlers could not defend the below-par target. And the visitors won the game by six wickets.
