Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India all the 3 major ICC trophies – T20 World Cup in 2007, the 50 overs World Cup in 2011, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He is the only captain in the world to do so. Besides, he is also India’s most successful test captain with 27 wins in 60 matches besides having most wins in T20Is as captain and playing most matches as captain in T20Is.

MS Dhoni May Be Interested In Playing Outside IPL Says, Shane Warne
Shane Warne while commenting for Sky Sports during the ongoing second Test between England and Pakistan wondered whether MS Dhoni will be interested to play for his side that he is going to coach.
“I’m just wondering if I can get him down to the London Spirit next year for The Hundred. Ok MS, if you would like to continue to play outside of the IPL (Indian Premier League), would you like to come and play for the London Spirit at Lord’s next year in The Hundred?” said Warne.

Although MS Dhoni retired from the international arena, he continues to play in professional cricket and will be seen leading Chennai Super Kings in IPL in UAE. However, until now, BCCI does not allow Indian cricketers to play in foreign global leagues unless they retire from all formats of cricket.
MS Dhoni May Play For London Spirit In The Hundred As Shane Warne Will Find Money To Hire Him
Wasim Akram who was commentating alongside him and is a Pakistan pace bowling legend also jokingly said whether London Spirit can afford the retired MS Dhoni. Shane Warne replied by saying that he will arrange and find the necessary money required to give him a place on the team.
“Warney if I was MS Dhoni, I would be asking you how much budget do you have,” said Wasim to which Warne replied: “I’ll find the money, MS.”

The Hundred is a cricket tournament that was originally scheduled for 2020 but was postponed to 2021 due to ongoing pandemic COVID-19 and Shane Warne is the head coach for London Spirits who will play at Lords.
Both Shane Warne and Wasim Akram were greats in their era. While the former spinner picked up 708 wickets in tests while playing for Australia, the latter pacer has picked up more than 900 wickets in Tests and ODIs combined while playing for Pakistan. Both took up commentary post-retirement.
